CUIN 7376
New Tools for Creating Online Educational Materials
Below is the materials I created for CUIN 7376. This course taught students how to utilize various online educational resources and the ways to incorporate the materials into classes. Learning about new online resources is especially important in this day and age, where didactic instruction continues to move more to an online approach.
ASSIGNMENT 1: GATHERING STUDENT INPUT
Google Form of a Pre-class Survey for Advanced Imaging Modalities
Below is the survey I created as a pre-class assessment for RADR 2333: Advanced Medical Imaging. The survey is intended to gain student input and preferences on which imaging modality they were interested in the most. I utilized this form to create groups for their semester long project (students were assigned to the group in the modality in which they showed preference for) and the information gather can also be used as a comparison at the end of the class. I can create a reflection assignment at the end of class based on the responses of this survey. We can see if the interest in the student's modality of choice stayed the same after receiving information about all the other various medical imaging roles.
ASSIGNMENT 2: MINDMAPS
Cmap on Advanced Imaging Modalities
Below is the mindmap I created for my class RADR 2333: Advanced Medical Imaging. In this course, I must teach our 2nd year radiography students the differences between the various types of medical imaging modalities. I created this mindmap as a flowchart/decision tree that will enable students to form a thought process on the how to determine which modality is being discussed. This tool can be utilized a a review or a study guide for upcoming assessments.

ASSIGNMENT 3: INFOGRAPHICS
Piktochart on the Average Radiation Exposure, Per Person, in the United States
I created this infographic for the class RADR 2213: Radiation Protection and Biology. I utilized this infographic to illustrate the concept of the average annual radiation exposure that is received by people in the United States. The infographic has information with the average exposure and then goes further to breakdown the sources of this exposure. The chart gives students that may need to learn with visuals a better understanding of the concept we discuss in lecture.
Assignment 4: Screencast
Screencast for Trajecsys training
I created this screencast to be viewed by our clinical radiography students on how to log in and log out of Trajecsys - which is our online clinical documentation and record keeping system. I wanted to ensure that students would know the proper methods on logging in; as we have had problems in the past with incorrect clock in locations.
