EDUCATION
I currently am pursuing a masters of education degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis on health sciences education at the University of Houston.
As a a medical imaging technologist, I was an expert in my field. Upon taking a teaching position, I realized although I was an expert in the technical aspects of the medical imaging field, my skills as an educator were lacking.
Through my coursework at UH, I have gain knowledge and insight on the best practices of how to instruct and evaluate students effectively.

My expected graduation date is December 2020.
WORK
Houston Community College - Coleman College for Health Sciences is the only community college located in the Texas Medical Center. We offer over 20 degrees and certificates in a variety of allied health fields.
We recently built a new, beautiful $68 million dollar building with state of the art equipment and skills labs. These advanced and high level resources allow for myself, along with my peers, to better train and prepare the next generation of allied healthcare professionals.

ABOUT ME
My name is Christopher Daza and I am a faculty member at Houston Community College. I have been teaching in both the Radiography and Computed Tomography programs at Houston Community College since 2015. I actually am a graduate of the HCC Radiography (2011) and I also completed a bachelors degree in radiologic sciences at Midwestern State University (2015). What sparked my interest in teaching was when I was assigned to tutor for the radiography program while I was in school. I have been very enthusiastic about teaching ever since.
